Large Japanese Meiji period (circa 1900) bronze bowl crafted in the shape of a blooming lotus flower adorned with several small frogs; the bowl rests on three elegantly designed lotus stems. The exterior and interior are adorned with intricate lotus leaf and bud designs, and the interior of the bowl showcases a verdigris patina, achieved through natural oxidation of the bronze.
