This lot includes two books featuring fine art wood engravings and prints.

  1. James Reid: Selected Wood Engravings (2013, Brier Hill Press)
A limited-edition portfolio showcasing the intricate wood engravings of James Reid, printed from the artist’s original 1930 and 1931 blocks. The book contains thirty-two numbered and blind-stamped prints, with engravings appearing on Mohawk Superfine paper. This edition is limited to only 125 copies, with each being individually numbered. The portfolio includes high-quality reproductions from The Life of Christ in Woodcuts and The Song of Songs. The book’s design and production maintain an archival quality, making it an important collector's item for enthusiasts of printmaking and fine art books.

  2. A Modern Pilgrim’s Print Book (Produced in cooperation with The Provincetown Art Association)
A vintage booklet featuring woodcut prints, including works by noted artists such as Agnes Weinrich. The book presents prints alongside descriptions and biographical notes, celebrating Provincetown’s rich history in printmaking and modernist art. The softcover format and stapled binding suggest a mid-20th-century production, with the original price marked at 50 cents. The booklet’s content offers insight into the artistic movements of its time, particularly within the Provincetown art community.
