The set includes a pair of earrings, a pendant-brooch, a locket, and a bracelet, all featuring micromosaic scenes inlaid in polished malachite, crafted in yellow gold around 1885.

The gold has been tested using a standard acid test and is confirmed to be 22k.

Condition

  • General Condition: The item is in good condition, with typical signs of wear and abrasions consistent with its age. There are areas of metal discoloration and a few visible repairs. The earrings are equipped with a screwback mechanism, suitable for both pierced and non-pierced ears. The pendant-brooch features a single pinstem and a pendant hook on the reverse side. It should be noted that the locket is operational and currently contains hair.

  • Additional Marks: The bracelet and pendant-brooch bear unknown maker's marks.

  • Micromosaic: Overall, the micromosaic is in good condition, though it shows some abrasions to the glass and a few small areas of loss.

  • Malachite: The malachite displays typical characteristics and abrasions, with a few small visible areas of matrix.
