19th-century original oil on canvas painting depicting Iris, Greek messenger goddess, carrying water from the River Styx to Olympus. The artwork portrays Iris gracefully flying, holding a golden urn. This classical allegorical piece is presented in a gilded frame.

Condition
The painting is in overall good condition for its age, with minor craquelure visible throughout the surface, primarily in areas of lighter pigment. There are a few areas of restoration. See photos of back of canvas.

The cost of shipment will be Buyer's full responsibility. In-house packaging and shipping is available for many items. All quotes are based upon the size and weight of the package as indicated by the carrier and all will include insurance as well as signature confirmation in most cases and will be handled through USPS or FedEx.
