This oil on canvas painting presents a delicate and serene portrayal of the Virgin Mary, commonly referred to as the Madonna, Our Lady of Sorrows (Mater Dolorosa) after Carlo Dolci (1616 - 1686). Canvas is signed illegibly and dated 1892 verso. Complete with gilded wood frame.

Condition
The frame shows significant wear from age, with chipping and scratches along the edges and corners. The canvas appears to have overpaint around the eye. The back of the canvas shows previous restoration or repairs and several pinholes.
